Freedom Algos Review

A research review of Thanos, Freedom Algos’ automated gold (XAUUSD) system for MetaTrader 5: public performance, risk controls, account setup and the limits of the available evidence.

CURRENT SYSTEM DOCUMENTED Thanos Automated XAUUSD system · MetaTrader 5
REVIEW AT A GLANCE

Freedom Algos has a more substantial public record than many retail algorithm vendors: a state-registered LLC with a named principal, and a real-money Myfxbook account for Thanos that discloses its broker, leverage, deposits and withdrawals.

The central open questions are how client accounts are technically connected, what the numerical risk limits are, how the showcase account compares with client settings, and what the customer terms say. This review separates documented records, provider statements and unresolved details.

OVERVIEW

What is Freedom Algos?

Freedom Algos is a Florida-registered software provider that designs, tests and maintains a rules-based gold trading system for retail traders, who run it on their own brokerage accounts.

Its current product is Thanos, a short-duration gold (XAUUSD) algorithm for MetaTrader 5. The provider describes itself as a software company, not a fund or broker, and says deposits and withdrawals remain between the customer and their broker. Freedom Algos homepage · Thanos page.

Official materials describe the strategy in more detail than many retail bot vendors, and the provider states plainly that the product is not built for anyone looking for a guaranteed win. A provider “trading desk” is described as monitoring the system and adjusting its parameters over time.

The strategy discussion, performance record and risk-control section explain which deeper details are documented and which still need clarification.

OPERATING MODEL

How Thanos works with a customer account

The flow reflects the provider’s onboarding description. Where Thanos physically executes, and which credentials it receives, is not publicly documented.

01Customer broker account

The user opens and verifies an MT5 account at a compatible broker; the provider says funds stay there.

02Portal connection

The MT5 account is connected in the Freedom Algos client portal, following a five-step setup guide.

03Automated execution

The algorithm places trades by fixed rules, while a provider desk is described as monitoring and adjusting parameters.

04Broker execution

Orders are filled by the customer’s broker. The provider says users can pause automation at any time.

ACCOUNT CONTROL

Freedom Algos consistently states that it does not hold client funds and that withdrawals remain between customer and broker. Connecting an MT5 account through a web portal, rather than installing an EA, suggests execution may be provider-hosted; that is an inference, and the credentials collected, their permission scope and how they are stored are not publicly documented. As general MT5 behaviour, a trading password permits trading, while withdrawals normally go through the broker’s separate client area.

STRATEGY & TECHNOLOGY

Thanos strategy, automation and AI claims

Automated MT5 gold trading

The Thanos page presents an automated XAUUSD system, and Thanos is linked to a real MetaTrader 5 account on Myfxbook. This establishes the delivery model and account, rather than a code inspection.

ESTABLISHED
Trend-filtered, short-window entries

Freedom Algos describes identifying a higher-timeframe regime in gold, mapping intraday volatility and entering in short windows such as retracements, continuations or compressed moves, with dynamic management after entry. The exact rules are not published.

PROVIDER CLAIM
Circuit breakers and adaptive risk controls

The How it works page lists exposure limits, volatility filters, adverse-excursion monitoring, execution checks and circuit breakers, and says the desk can adjust them. No thresholds are published.

PROVIDER CLAIM
Desk supervision and code updates

The provider says its desk can change exposure limits, filters, trade frequency and adverse-excursion settings, and can update code as market conditions change. No version history maps these changes to the track record.

PROVIDER CLAIM
No AI trading claim

Freedom Algos does not market Thanos as AI-driven; it is presented as rules-based. The only AI reference is a support assistant in the client portal.

ESTABLISHED
Exact entry, exit and sizing logic

Thresholds, timeframes, stop formulas, position-sizing rules and simultaneous-position limits are not published.

NOT PUBLICLY ESTABLISHED
Grid, martingale and recovery behaviour

No product-specific evidence establishes these methods as present or absent. “Basket management” in the provider’s risk description does not by itself establish grid behaviour.

PERFORMANCE EVIDENCE

Freedom Algos performance: the Thanos account

REAL · USD · MT5 · EARLY AUGUST 2026 CAPTURE

In the early August 2026 capture, the Thanos Myfxbook record was classified as a real USD account on MetaTrader 5 at Lirunex, with 1:1000 leverage. The figures below describe that account at that date. They are historical observations, not a return forecast. Later headline captures are listed in the captures table.

Gain (time-weighted)+1,461.64%Early Aug 2026 capture
Absolute gain+1,059.28%Same capture
Maximum drawdown15.67%Myfxbook methodology · same at every capture
Completed trades1,007844 long · 163 short
Average trade length1h 8mAccount statistic
Deposits, withdrawals and balance at the same capture
Balance (= equity)USD 1,001,905.90
WithdrawalsUSD 157,374.06
DepositsUSD 100,000.00

Withdrawals exceeded deposits by USD 57,374.06, and balance equalled equity, meaning no floating profit or loss at the capture. Because time-weighted gain is sensitive to cash flows, the absolute gain is a useful companion figure.

What the record establishes

  • A provider-linked real account is public on Myfxbook under the freedomalgos profile.
  • The captured broker was Lirunex with 1:1000 leverage on MetaTrader 5.
  • Deposits and withdrawals are visible alongside the balance.
  • Both long and short trades are represented.
  • The account contained more than 1,000 completed trades at capture.
  • The 15.67% maximum drawdown was identical across every capture reviewed.

Important limitations

  • The provider dates the record to April 2024; the Myfxbook profile joined on 4 August 2026, so earlier history appears to have been imported.
  • The capture did not confirm the verification badges’ check state. Check the current tracker directly.
  • Headline gain differs by capture date; the provider homepage figure appears to be a static snapshot.
  • Desk-level parameter and code changes are not mapped to dates in the record.
  • Customer version, settings, broker and leverage equivalence are not independently established.
  • Myfxbook tracking is not an audit.

The Myfxbook system page is the source of truth for current figures. Headline gains captured on different dates should not be averaged or combined.

RECORD CHRONOLOGY

Reading the Thanos start date

Freedom Algos describes Thanos as live-tracked since April 2024. The public Freedom Algos Myfxbook profile joined on 4 August 2026.

These dates are not contradictory. Myfxbook can import and verify earlier broker history, so an account can show trades that predate its public profile. The evidence supports underlying history said to begin in April 2024 and public visibility on Myfxbook from August 2026.

The trading history also predates the freedomalgos.com domain (registered 16 April 2026) and the Florida LLC (filed 8 July 2026). That is common for a strategy commercialised after a period of private trading, but it means the system’s history and the company’s history should be read separately.

For the difference between imported history and continuously public tracking, see Myfxbook’s verification definitions.

SHOWCASE VS CUSTOMER RESULTS

Do customer accounts match the showcase?

The Thanos account offers a detailed public example of how one provider-run configuration has behaved.

Freedom Algos says every real Thanos client account is shown on a shared Myfxbook profile using anonymised codes. At the research date that page showed placeholders rather than inspectable accounts, so the claim could not be checked. Provider’s client-account statement.

The provider openly acknowledges that client results differ by account size, start date, broker and risk settings, and says it tailors the setup to a client’s account size and risk profile. Equality of version, parameters, leverage, costs and desk-level changes between showcase and client accounts was not independently established.

No complete customer distribution, median outcome or drawdown range was identified.

RISK STRUCTURE

Thanos risk controls and leverage

The provider publishes a clear risk framework in concept, but not the numerical limits behind it. Historical statistics do not establish a guaranteed limit on future loss.

Showcase leverage1:1000Observed account setting, not a published client requirement
Showcase drawdown15.67%Myfxbook value, consistent across captures
Stop handlingInternal controlsProvider says it does not rely only on broker-visible stop and target fields
Position sizingNot publishedNo formula or risk-per-trade figure
Loss limitsCircuit breakers describedDaily-loss and drawdown thresholds not published
Overnight exposureNot specifiedShort holding times described; no absolute overnight rule found
Concurrent exposureNot publishedNo maximum-position or notional limit
Martingale / gridNot establishedNo product-specific evidence either way
RISK INTERPRETATION

Algo Trading Index does not infer grid, martingale, averaging-down or recovery behaviour from win rate, short holding times or leverage. Because Thanos is described as relying on internal controls rather than only broker-side stops, its protection depends on the executing software staying connected, which makes the failure behaviour worth confirming. Provider’s control descriptions · Myfxbook drawdown definition.

DRAWDOWN RESPONSE

What happens during a drawdown?

Freedom Algos describes how it intends to respond to adverse conditions, but has not published operating thresholds.

According to the provider, open positions are tracked against how far price moves against them, exposure can be reduced when conditions become unstable, trading can pause automatically outside defined parameters, and the desk can step in when the strategy’s behaviour changes.

Still unpublished: which account-level drawdown triggers a shutdown, whether losing positions are closed or held at that point, whether risk reductions affect open trades or only new ones, and whether clients are notified when the desk changes settings.

Users should request a plain-English drawdown protocol covering equity thresholds, pause conditions, position additions and desk intervention.

BACKTESTING

Backtests and live evidence

No Thanos backtest report was located; the real Myfxbook account is the primary evidence.

The homepage refers to “full backtesting docs” and says the system was backtested before release. No report with datasets, modelling assumptions, commissions, slippage, walk-forward or out-of-sample results was found in the public material reviewed.

The provider’s pages carry CFTC Rule 4.41 hypothetical-performance disclosures. For the distinction between evidence types, see backtests versus live trading results.

WHEN THINGS GO WRONG

Disconnections, open trades and recovery

Failure behaviour is one of the most important areas still to be documented by the provider.

01

Connection failure

If execution is provider-hosted, outages on the user’s side may not matter. How internal controls behave if the provider’s connection fails is not public.

02

MT5 trading disabled

As general MT5 behaviour, automated trading cannot place orders when Auto Trading is off or the terminal is closed. Thanos’ handling of open trades in that state is not public.

03

Pausing with open trades

Pausing is supported, but whether open positions are closed, held or still managed is not documented.

04

Cancellation or licence expiry

Public material does not provide an open-position and credential handoff procedure at termination.

PUBLIC FOOTPRINT

Freedom Algos customer reviews and discussion

Freedom Algos is a young brand, and its public footprint is still small. No Trustpilot profile for freedomalgos.com was located at the research date.

The Myfxbook profile displayed no reviews, and the Whop review tabs were not retrieved. Trustpilot results for similarly named businesses, such as Freedom24, are unrelated. No recurring review themes can yet be reported. Public reviews reflect individual customer experiences and are not treated as verification of trading performance.

No Reddit, ForexFactory, BabyPips or Myfxbook community threads about Freedom Algos’ Thanos were found. Myfxbook threads about other “Thanos” EAs exist but are unrelated.

The provider maintains two Whop storefronts and an official homepage video. No YouTube channel, podcast, founder interview or independent review was identified. The absence of reviews reflects the brand’s recency rather than a negative signal.

RESEARCH NOTES

How to interpret the public record

01

Headline figures vary by date

The homepage and Myfxbook show different gains captured at different times, while drawdown is consistent. Read current values on Myfxbook.

02

Transparency points

Broker, leverage and cash flows are disclosed on Myfxbook, no AI or guaranteed-return claims are made, and client-result variation is acknowledged.

03

Internal controls vs broker stops

Risk protection is described as software-managed rather than relying only on broker-side stops. Confirm what protects a position during a disconnect.

04

Who sets risk

Users are said to control risk settings, while a desk adjusts risk and can update code. A hybrid model is plausible but not formally documented.

QUESTIONS WORTH ASKING

Questions to ask before using Thanos

How does Thanos connect to my MT5 account?

Ask whether it uses a hosted terminal, a trade copier or an EA install, which credentials are collected, how they are stored, and whether they could be used for anything beyond trading.

What happens to open positions if I pause, cancel or my subscription lapses?

Request the safe state, whether positions are closed or left open, and who is responsible for managing them.

Does every Thanos position carry a protective stop at the broker?

The provider describes internal controls rather than only broker-visible stops. Ask what protects a position if the executing software disconnects.

What are the risk-per-trade, daily-loss and drawdown limits?

Request the configured thresholds, how circuit breakers trigger and what happens to open trades when they do.

Does Thanos add exposure to positions already in loss?

Ask for a product-specific answer on grid, martingale, averaging and recovery logic.

When the desk adjusts risk or code, is it applied to every client at once?

Ask whether changes require client consent, how clients are notified and whether a version history exists against the track record.

Does the showcase account run the same version and settings that new clients receive?

Compare version, parameters, broker, leverage, costs and start date with the account you would run.

Where can I see the anonymised client accounts?

The provider says real client accounts are published on Myfxbook; ask for direct links and whether any accounts are excluded.

Where can the Thanos backtesting documentation be reviewed?

The homepage refers to full backtesting docs; ask for the report and its testing assumptions.

Where are the terms of service and refund policy?

Request the written terms, the contracting entity and any operating conditions that affect refund eligibility.

FAQ

Freedom Algos review: frequently asked questions

What is Thanos?

Thanos is Freedom Algos’ automated gold (XAUUSD) algorithm for MetaTrader 5. It is described as a short-duration system that trades within a confirmed higher-timeframe trend.

Who operates Freedom Algos?

Florida records list Vladimir Suparto as authorised member of Freedom Algos LLC, an active Florida company filed on 8 July 2026. His public LinkedIn profile identifies him as founder.

Is Thanos fully automated?

Trade execution is automated. A provider trading desk is described as monitoring the system and adjusting parameters over time, and the user maintains the broker account.

Does Freedom Algos hold customer funds?

The provider says no; funds remain in the customer’s own brokerage account, and deposits and withdrawals remain between customer and broker.

Is public live performance available?

Yes. The Thanos account is a real-money Myfxbook record at Lirunex. Later captures are listed in the captures table.

Is Thanos performance audited?

No audit was identified. Myfxbook tracking and verification confirm account history and trading control, but they are not a financial audit.

Does Thanos use AI?

No. Thanos is presented as rules-based. AI is mentioned only for a support assistant in the client portal.

Does it use martingale or grid trading?

The public evidence reviewed was insufficient to establish whether Thanos uses or excludes grid, martingale, averaging or recovery structures.

What happens if the system disconnects?

This is not publicly documented at system level. MT5 has platform-level controls, but Thanos’ configuration is not published; see when things go wrong.

Is there a refund policy?

None was found in public materials. The provider says monthly plans have no long-term contract and users can pause at any time.

Is Freedom Algos regulated?

It describes itself as a software company and claims no regulatory registration. That alone does not decide whether registration is required; see the legal-context section.
